SAUNG ANGKLUNG UDJO

  Saung Angklung Udjo is an indoor-outdoor bamboo musical instrument, workshop and craft center with live performance. The founder of this place is Udjo Ngagalena, and was found in the year 1996.

   Saung Angklung Udjo is located on Padasuka Street number 118, Bandung , West Java. With a fresh atmosphere and surrounded by bamboo trees, from bamboo crafts and bamboo interiors to bamboo musical instruments.

   This place is very famous among the travelers and tourist, it is perhaps an icon of Sunda’s culture around the globe. This place is 1000 meter square large or 1 kilometer square and it is pretty spacious.

    To enter saung udjo you have to pay Rp50.000,. . Saung angklung udjo also sell traditional music instrument from bandung like angklung, carumba, and calung.

   Saung Angklung Mang Udjo not only performs angklung shows and children dances but there is also a souvenir shop which provides many handmade goods. Moreover there are courses for children (school age) who wants to know how to make and how to play angklung.

   Saung Angklung Udjo adopts the philosophy of easy, affordable, educative, attractive, massive, and cheerful performances that are essence of their ultimate show called “Kaulinan Urang Lembur” or villagers playtime.
